Today was our travel day from Chiang Mai to Phuket. Lek drove us to the airport, accompanied by a lot of Miriam’s family to bid us good—bye. After the two-hour flight, we caught a shared van to our hotel, one block off of Patong Beach. A very nice hotel with an open air lobby and a pool. A great pool with a walkway bridge over it and a swim-up bar. We walked down the street for dinner, curry and noodle dishes. Back to the hotel to enjoy that pool! and the swim-up bar….
Our room is very nice, well-decorated (no Hello Kitty décor this time) and comfortable. We’ll have a relaxing four nights here!
Oh my, that looks absolutely beautiful!! You guys sure know how to mix adventure, education, exploration, and luxury! Such a great combo of everything- this seems to take care of the luxury part. :-) Enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteYour last post was full of beautiful descriptions and photos. It was fascinating. I do confess to shuddering and scrolling QUICKLY over the photo of the grotesquely humongous grasshopper!!!!! OY!! My weyes are still popped out over that one. :-/
Well it seems you guys have found the part of Thailand you knew was there somewhere.
ReplyDeleteThe hotel photos and all you described will have you guys living the luxurious lifestyle for four days anyway.
Seems David and Miriam know how to swim up to that pool bar as well as Phillip. Looking forward to what Phuket has to offer.
See Ya, Your Cuz.
