We made it home without incident or delay… in fact, we arrived into DFW Airport an hour earlier than our scheduled arrival time. Before we left Bangkok, Phillip and I ate our last bowls of noodle soup. Like all airport food, it was OK, but not nearly as flavorful as the noodle soup we ate from the street vendors. Our flight from Bangkok to Tokyo left on time.
We had an hour and a half layover in Tokyo, plenty of time to make our connection to DFW. That’s the plane we spent half a day on in the background of the picture of me. It took a more direct route to the USA because of the winds.
Phillip and I are trying to stay awake until the sun goes down today… but our bodies are telling us it is 6:30 am and we’ve spent the entire night awake…. a day or two of jet lag for us, I expect. We had a great time with David and Miriam in Thailand, but, just like with our Ecuador trip, there’s no place like home.
So glad you made it back safely! I feel like I was such a terrible commentor this time, but I still enjoyed every single blog entry. Thanks so very much fir writing all about it! You help to satisfy the travel bug in me. Now if you'd kindly take a trip to Disney World for me, complete with photos and detailed blog posts, I'd be completely complete. ;-) No, hearing about places so far away is really most intriguing. Love it.
ReplyDeleteWell, I hope you guys are getting great sleep right now and that we get to see you soon! The garden is doing thrillingly fantastic, with little tomatoes, squash, and a pepper to check on daily. :-) As for the clothesline you put up for me- I've used the dryer exactly twice since that day and all our laundry smells of sunshine. I'm am MOST blessed in my choice of in-laws. :-) Come see us soon, after you catch up on some sleep and get your bodies back into US time. :-) Love ya!!
Glad you're back!
